So I had a couple of ideas for drones that would be new and interesting. One of them would be a spider drone about the size of an atv which someone has already obviously thought of before. The other idea I had was to create a large drone like they have now with four rotary fans, but also has a bunch these woven into a balloon in the middle, with hot air directed to the inside and cold air to the outside. The balloon fabric would also be woven with solar panels so that they would provide power to the peltier panels. This would allow the machine to be larger and carry loads while not having to use the fans as much. The only downside is that peltier plates are rather inefficient.
One of the good things about AI is that you can do things like tell it to look through every possible combination of every known material and what possible chemical combinations it would take to produce them. So while this may not be possible now, it means that things like material science being a hard problem isn't necessarily true any more.
Ok - So I asked the AI if it would work and the AI told me that it would still be too inefficient. Hmm...I want to know if there's another way of doing this where there's a central airsack or buoyance converter in the middle of the drone that would increase lift. Maybe if you came up with a way of making hydrogen safe that would work. I'll work on this problem some other time and put a pin it for now.
